About Etiq
We're building the compliance safety net that small food producers deserve.
Our mission
EU Regulation 1169/2011 is fair in principle and brutal in practice. A misplaced allergen mention, an ambiguous date format, or a missing operator address can trigger a recall that ends a small producer's year. Large groups have compliance departments. Independent jam-makers, granola brands and family cheese-mongers have a QA Excel from 2019 and a nervous three-day audit before every launch. Etiq exists to close that gap — to make first-class EU label compliance accessible to every producer who cares about doing it right, regardless of headcount.
What we value
Honesty over marketing
We tell you what Etiq does today, not what it might do next year. If a feature isn't shipped, we say 'on the roadmap' — not 'available'.
Regulations, not opinions
Every finding cites the article it references. If we can't point to a rule, we don't flag it. Compliance isn't a feeling.
Small producers first
Our defaults, prices and language are built for teams of one to ten — not for enterprise procurement cycles.
A note from the team
We started Etiq after watching too many independent producers spend a full week — and several hundred euros of consulting — checking a label that any modern vision model can pre-audit in under a minute. We're not here to replace regulatory experts; we're here to catch the obvious mistakes before they cost you a print run, so your experts can focus on the hard calls. If you're a producer trying to sell into the EU and something in your compliance workflow feels heavier than it should, we want to hear from you.
