Built in the open
We built Etiq because a friend running a small conserverie shipped 3,000 jars and only then noticed the allergen wording was off. The correction cost more than a month of margin. Labelling shouldn't require a €300 consultant every time a recipe changes — it should take a photo and a minute.

FAQ

Answers before you upload.

Is this legal advice?+

No. Etiq is an audit assistant that cites EU 1169/2011 articles for each finding. Always have a labelling expert review the corrected copy before printing.

What photo quality do I need?+

Any modern phone works. Aim for even lighting, no glare on the ingredient list, and one panel per photo. Etiq will ask for a re-shoot if text is unreadable.

Which markets are covered at launch?+

The 27 EU member states, under Regulation (EU) 1169/2011. French and English label copy at launch. Other languages coming as we validate them with native reviewers.

What happens to my photos?+

Demo images are processed transiently and deleted within 24 hours. On paid plans you can opt into a private history for your own team.
